Got accepted

Welcome to the Fallen Earth Alpha Program!
We appreciate your time and are excited to have you join us in testing Fallen Earth. In the past few weeks, we’ve introduced game play tips, increased server and client stability and removed several hundred mission bugs. In the next few weeks, all of Sector One will be open for players. With our forthcoming tutorial, we hope you can use this time to get acclimated to the game before we open Sector Two in December

Limited server access, but will keep yall posted on how it is. Make a few screenys.

Found some screen shots here, until patcher server is back up.

Okis got a few screenys. Remember this is Alpha so things are still rough, graphics and animations need a lot of polish still.

Char creation, while not as indepth as AoC was is still got a lot of scope. with numerous faces, hair styles, body and face piercings, body and face tatts, face paint, makeup. All customisable.

Wieerd how you start (the intro isnt in yet, they hoping to add at end of month) you pick a town to start, die and rez there O.o. I picked a place called Boneclaw.

Already done some crafting there for new armor. isnt clipping on the feet, its meant to be that way pretty wrecked clothing as you craft it from scavenging in trash:P Or at least low skill crafted items.

Only first zone is in game atm. But its HUGE!

Check the map in top left corner, bottom middle of map there entry crossroads and to left is Boneclaw. Took me nearly 30 minutes to wlk between them. There are mounts in game to ease travel. But mounts are done different from every other MMO. They need maintenance. Horses, which are in, need to cared for if damage (vet packs) and kept fed, horses are pretty slow. Vehicles arent really in yet afaik. But they will require to be crafted, repaired if damaged and kept fueled.
Kinda makes transport more realistic. But, they adding Bus stops to help quick travel as well.

http://i33.tinypic.com/350m1bn.jpg (list of crafting proffessions)
Crafting is based around scavenging. Either from looted or self made items, or from nodes around the world. Which may be car wrecks, piles of metal, tech. or even bags of trash.

Combat is FPS style. Put ya target over a mob, if its over you hit, if not, you miss. You can learn special attacks tho from merchant sold skill books, or learn from a player whos skilled up the teaching proff and has the skill. (Kinda like SWG).

But, its not pure FPS. there is a background roll as well. Its about 90% FPS, 10% random/stat based.

The world is faction based, multiple factions. Tech types, scavengers, comabt, preachers, traders. They not added yet tho. Your guild can choose to join a faction,. or not.

By all accounts there no real level cap, just a soft cap with content.

Also, an important part, there is no classes. You put gained advancement points into the stats/skills you want to develop your style of play.

Will post more as I explore further, but its showing HUGE promise as a step back towards the sandbox system that SWG used to be.

Lol looks like SWG in the old days :D. Maybe Amrix can send an application as guild in SWG so more people get access on that game it realy reminds me SWG

Taken from an official post on the forums, to give you some idea of the size of the world.

Time to Travel Across (on foot):
The Plateau: 2 hours north to south
Northfields: 1.5 hours east to west
Kaibab Forest: 2 hours north to south
Grainway: 2.5 hours north to south
Siller's Canyon: 2 hours north to south, but that's very deceptive as there are so many canyons and such you can't travel as the crow flies, or even as the drunken crow flies. It'd probably be more like 4 hours.

If you wanted to run from the southern end of the Plateau to the southern end of Siller's Canyon without dying horribly in radiation or plague zones it would take upwards of 13 hours with all the transitional zones and such between sectors.

13 hours from the lowest point to the furthest point to travel! thats f*cking insanely huge.

5. On a scale from 1 to 10 (World of Warcraft being a 1, EvE Online being an 11), how much of a sandbox will Fallen Earth be?

I would say somewhere in the 5-7 range, but that's just a guess. As the game continues this will increase as new options like housing become available.

PvP will be focused on hot spots. Faction towns and surrounding area to alleviate running around for hours trying to find some pvp. Whether a full open pvp server will be added. Be surprised if there isnt.
They talked about player looting. On thing they not doing is allowing primary item looting, weapons and armor, but they looking at secondary looting like resources, foods etc.
You earn faction rating thru pvp which allows you to buy faction equipment, no real news on what, but probably armor, weapons maybe crafting recipes/tools too.

Not really been playing games over holiday, so no real updates on Fallen Earth, apart from patch notes.
As you may know, we opened a new region—Sector Two—of Fallen Earth with the update on Tuesday. We have received immensely helpful feedback and have enjoyed the past few weeks finishing up The Plateau with our Sector One blow-out. We look forward to receiving your feedback on Sector 2 and hope you enjoy the experience. Some Sector 2 features include:

18 new towns to explore
1200+ new missions
5 conflict towns with loads of PvP action
More involvement with the factions including faction rank
Special powers and mutations
Increased crafting knowledges and abilities
New creature models

Theres been a couple of fun GM run PvP events in conflict towns that have been fun. And PvP is FUN! You actually feel is not the gear winning the fight (even tho, obv) it does help. Using cover, running from side to side to avoid being hit to get in close and hit them over the head witha lawnmower blade is great fun.

Anyways hope yall had a great holidays.

Not to be negative or anything but from the sound of it, most of those "hours of content" seem like traveling around ;)

But then again ill prob try the game when it comes out, 2010 or something?
