Hey guys,

I've got an interview with Will Cook, one of Trion Worlds' Lead Designers next week. If you guys have any questions you'd like me to ask, please post them in this thread and I'll do my best to get some answers :)

Cheers,

Calvin

ok guys, stop being newbs, if you have a proper question, then put it in a question format, and hopefully calvin will pose that question to him as a question... etc.

so put it like this

e.g.
"when will character transfers be available, and will they be free?"

btw, this is just an example, it's not a question!! :)

Ok then, dunno if this is answered some place, but here goes:

Will the edit layout function get fixed (lot of problems with portraits jumping around and not staying at positions), and maybe added more options? For example more freedom to edit castbar, and edit (remove) portrait, for a cleaner look.

That's working as intended. All you need to do is when you move something like your player portrait make sure its not linked/touching anything else.

or the oposite... always make sure its not flowing there alone and its attached to something else

this requires personal testing though, at alpha, my UI layout always changes a bit after some patches...

No, you are both wrong :d I tested it out yesterday, and i couldn't get it to stay where I wanted it to stay, both when I linked it and when i made sure it wasn't attached to something. This was specially difficult with target, and target of target portraits.

So I really hope it's not working as intended :p

mine is fine - i moved my player portrait to where it is in the screenshot i posted making sure it wasnt touching anything else - then i attacked the buffs to the portrait and also my pet to my portrait. When I say touch - make sure none of the edges go green and attach to other things. They a overlap though - you can tell they are 'attached' as their is an orange glow on that side.
Here's ss of my ui layout:
